“As a 30-year resident of Newcastle, I had never considered the masculinity of the city. Through the lens applied by Alex, i saw my city in a new light, and realised the extent to which patriarchy and male superiority have shaped its culture and geography. The mix of interviews was broad nd enlightening, and gave insights into both sides of this interesting debate. I enjoyed just listening to the podcast as a stand-alone event. but re-listening whilst touring the city as proposed by alex gave new depth. I look forward to future pieces in the series.”
