“This content is essential content. I feel like some of the importance of the conversation was undercut but the compares laughing. (I get colleagues in a professional space share dark humour and humour can mask exasperation and frustration but this a public setting) I am in no way a Trump supporter but I feel the laughter about Trumps display of symptoms of dementia and mental decline made me uncomfortable. I could imagine that people coping with early stage dementia or early onset dementia would find it heart breaking to be laughed at and their relatives/carers too. The podcast does such important work but attention needs to be paid to the tone. Refining your message and framing so that it reaches beyond partisanship is incredibly important.”
