“Love the production quality, the writing, the analysis afterward — the cherry on top is the beautiful voicing chops of the narrator for all the dramatized stories. He has a beautiful, velvety baritone. Top notch. So lovely. And he dramatizes the characters his co-host has written so very well.
However: I have yet to listen to a story that the hosts found personally compelling enough to say was plausible. All the stories they detail, they seem to be highly skeptical of. Why take the time to dive deep into stories that you yourself are not even remote believers in? Just for ratings? Just for giggles?
I’m not a tin foil hat kinda gal. Not by any means. A healthy dose of skepticism is warranted for takes about the Jersey Devil or The Bell Witch. But dismissing every bit of the paranormal out of hand after you just spent probably hours on crafting binge-worthy stories kinda ruins it for the audience. If this keeps up, I will probably stop following. It’s not the the podcast isn’t well done, it’s that the fun of the spooky mystery is ruined by too much poo-pooing by the creators themselves.”
