“Carl Zha is an incredible independent voice who understands both the Chinese and Western perspective. He is an incredible resource for those who seek to understand China and who are from the West.
Because he articulates Chinese narratives with such clarity for Western minds, he offends those who identify with white nationalist / anti-china sentiments because they cannot dismiss the information he shares without resorting to personal attacks on his character or lazily disclaiming the credibility of his sources by repeating western bourgeois media anti-china narratives.
I don’t always agree with Carl Zha’s commentary. Nonetheless, I recognize him as a crucial voice today in the West who speaks with credibility and wit about China.”
