Description
Over a handful of nights in 1903, a strange bat-like monster made several appearances in the small town of Van Meter, Iowa. It was seen by an assortment of trusted, honest members of the community. It defied explanation. Then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it disappeared, leaving the people of Van Meter to speculate just what exactly they had seen on that string of eerie fall nights.
