“I like the podcast for the most part. The two hosts bounce off each other nicely, and their reactions are funny and enjoyable to listen to for the most part. It feels like talking to my coworker friends about a show we all like.
I think the hate for Robin is pretty over the top, given that the reasons they claim to hate her are usually just things they’ve made up lol (assuming they are in her head and know exactly what she’s thinking). They are salty at her for being “giddy” about liking the person she wants to marry lol. We don’t see what the other 3 wives were like in that honeymoon phase, but in my experience people usually are excited about the people they want to marry. And 9/10 Kody does something of his own free will and they blame her or say it’s because she secretly wants to be monogamous.
Not saying Robin is blameless but some people really don’t want to be monogamous, and not every little hiccup in a ENM relationship means that monogamy is superior or a secret desire. They give a lot of grace to Christine and Janelle but seem incapable of remembering that all of these people are edited versions of themselves and are in reality all flawed and all have good and bad about them.
They come off as having a very limited worldview and I don’t think they have any real understanding of non-monogamous relationships (in one episode they said that polyamory meant that every person sleeps together 🙄).
It’s a free podcast, not a dissertation, so they don’t owe listeners anything, just thought I’d mention in case you’re looking for a deeper discussion about the show.”
