Annie Lennox is not as aware of the world as she says she is.
If so, she perhaps would have added Some caveats when talking about how much she admires her artist daughters ability to focus and paint all day. What is more difficult is to work a minimum wage job, scraping it altogether to buy exactly what you need to create the thing you have in mind, then find the time and space to do it well in one go because you cannot afford to make a mistake. But you know, it is nice she admires and loves her daughter. I believe radical youths would call this checking her privilege. Admittedly she earned her privilege from a wonderful career but my point is her daughter isn’t quite earning it in the same way, so being mindful of that would be nice. Not that it changes the quality of the podcast, just that I was happier listen to Annie Lennox sing before I heard her be interviewed. Oh well.
