Slam the Gavel podcast welcomes Danielle Sather Miller to the Podcast. So glad to have met her on TikTok. Danielle has been a victim of Parental Alienation and hasn't seen her boys in the last 8 years and that was when they were 4, 6 and 8. They are now at the ages of 13, 15 and 17 years of age and Danielle misses them and wonders if they think of her. What happened to Danielle can happen to ANYONE.    Five years ago, the Stepmother "allowed" her sons to talk to their mother on a video chat because she had a spat with her husband (Danielle's ex). They were allowed to talk until her ex husband came home and ended the call.    Her boys were kidnapped twice and in 2011 she was also ran over once and dragged 50 feet and this is on her ex-husband's criminal record. There was custodial interference going on as well but law enforcement told her, "it's a civil matter." Her ex even had her mentally committed based on a lie that Danielle was on drugs, but she was released in three hours, but her ex was on his way to CA with her children. She didn't see them for 4 months. He was on the NCIC as the abductor. West Virginia dropped the ball with Custodial Interference, stating it was, "a civil matter."     Danielle is $48,000.00 in debt, and her mother had to sell her home so Danielle could hold on to her parental rights. Danielle mentioned that she did have one good judge, Judge Spruill, but then she would have a new judge every year for the next 7 years of their lives.       Danielle explained how her ex obtained custody of her boys. Over the stress of court, Danielle turned to drug usage and wasn't able to get her children to the weekend visits due to car issues, but she cleaned up her act. She  has been clean for over 8+ years. Danielle has passed ALL drug tests and hair follicle tests while traveling from West Virginia to Horry County, South Carolina once a month for counseling sessions.  When Danielle followed through with everything, that's when her ex refused to follow the counselor's orders and decided that Danielle would not be a part of the kid's lives.      That's when the ex ramped up Custodial Interference and has been arrested twice and feels that the law does not apply to him, yet the children remain with him. Danielle doesn't feel that what she has done is deserving of her punishment and keeping her from her children and what she is going through now. The Stepmother however, had been arrested for having Opiates and THC in her system after giving birth. But Danielle's sons still remain in the home.
