My favourite podcast
I’ve been listening to the Slate Culture Gabfest for more than 10 years now and it’s the only podcast I consistently listen to every week. It’s the perfect mix of serious cultural criticism and warm banter. They are great at close reading, and talking about the elements of a specific piece of culture that do or don’t work, but also putting it into a wider context, thinking about what culture and art is for and how it functions in our lives and in our society. A genuine highlight of my week, every week.

It was weirdly shocking to me to not...Read full review »
