“Listening to the middle aged dissect Brittany Spears, Taylor Swift and whoever the next pop Lolita is may seem like a waste of time.
Come to think of it, those segments are a waste of time. As are deep dives into all that super hero crap.
And the show would definitely benefit from a more conservative or skeptical voice. Too often cultural analysis just becomes critical theory with a healthy dollop of white liberal guilt. I’d like a little less groupthink and a little more debate when culture veers into politics. (These days it seems to rarely go anywhere else.)
Can’t there be a lone voice in the conversation who isn’t as convinced by the latest Marxist/PC claptrap?
But as often as it annoys me (see mdme metcalf) I keep downloading.
