Hits a Weird Note
The story is compelling, and I like Slate podcasts, but this seems to glorify the white supremacists. It gives a voice to really destructive people and leaves them unquestioned. I understand that the FBI made mistakes, but that does not excuse the behavior or beliefs these people were spreading. People like them still kill people today and this feels like they’ve been given a megaphone.

More reviews of Slate Presents: One Year
Show was interesting until episode 3, when it degenerated into a boring, self-aggrandising interview with a journalist apparently delighted by his special access to the white nationalists, punctuated by admiring mmms and ahhhs by the interviewer. Bizarre and off-putting.
