“30 minutes into the Halloween episode, it was clear that only surface-level research had been done into/about the movie. They were not clear on the John Carpenter/Debra Hill relationship, and skipped talking about her huge role in the film/franchise altogether. They didn’t bother to name characters and overall spoke about the movie with no authority. If I’m going to take the time to listen to something, I want to hear something I haven’t already heard or read before, and this podcast did not deliver at all. I believe only one host did any research (or bothered to watch the movie at all), and if they aren’t going to take the time, why would I?
Overall I don’t know why I’m supposed to care about what these two say, because they aren’t saying a whole lot. Consider listening to Unspooled’s Halloween episode instead, or Amy Nicholson on The Canon, and You Must Remember This for more in depth film and culture analysis.”
