Should Be Renamed “Slow Burn…of Everything Not Liberal”
After having watched the last season of “American Crime Story” in which the Clinton-Lewinsky Scandal was covered - which also had a decidedly liberal slant - I was lead here in hopes some classic, independent journalism would lay the story out based on facts, with perhaps a modern hindsight that detailed how disgusting the media, Clinton, his wife and his administration had treated both Lewinsky and even Tripp. Nope. Linda Tripp is still the self-important, sneaky, manipulative, right-wing traitor (read “conservative female”) who got involved in all of this to gain…what exactly is never really addressed because the fact is, the woman actually LOST everything, and was so routinely destroyed for her physical appearance that she put herself through 3 painful face surgeries in hopes people - and the media - might stop constantly commenting on her appearance. I’m sure it will shock you to find out that the reporter and producer never ONCE mentions how repellent it was that the media - of which he’s a representative - focused on both Lewinsky and Tripp’s appearance. I’m sure it will also shock you to find out that while Monica’s refusal to speak to the FBI for fear she might betray her “boyfriend” as being “incredibly strong and loyal,” Tripp - along with all the FBI agents - are portrayed as sneaky creeps out to destroy the President. It’s yet another way liberal media defends anyone in their party for the most disgusting, egregious acts but condemns any conservative for the same offenses. Journalism is dead. Impartiality is over. Herds just another example of proof.

More reviews of Slow Burn
The first episode was wise and engaging. The tale of Martha Mitchell is a story worth telling. She was a central character in Watergate but unfamiliar to many. I hope that the future episodes will be equally insightful.
