Nicholas Chrimes, Andy Higgs and Tim Cook - three of the authors of the recently published PUMA guidelines - outline their key recommendations for the prevention of unrecognised oesophagael intubation. As a component of PUMA, these guidelines are intended for airway practitioners of all disciplines working in any context and have been endorsed by the world’s major airway societies.
