Brining back a much beloved character has its pros and cons, but in the case of Red Dwarf, the latter seems to reign supreme. We put up with Ace Rimmer's appearance (although Emohawk influenced) in Emohawk: Polymorph 2 but having him show up again in the second episode of Series VII might have been a bridge too far.
