An education in music in podcast form
Each episode of Sodajerker is like an essay on music but in audio form. Each show begins with a brief moment of banter and news regarding the host, two charming lads in Liverpool. Then comes the thesis, an introduction to the songwriter(s) featured on that episode. They list hit songs, notable performances, and productive collaborations. The body of each podcast is the interview, insightful discussion with successful songwriters from Neil Sedaka to Weird Al Yankovich. The antithesis sums up the episode, touching upon key elements brought up in the interview. There is no other podcast like this, especially for those with an interest in the history and creative processes in 20th century music.
