Must listen for every parent and educator and person who cares about the literacy crisis
This first two episodes of this series blew my mind and had me in tears. Emily Hanford is such an incredible reporter and no one has cut at the heart of the literacy crisis in America like she has over the past several years. This series should be required listening for every district leader and curriculum director in America. Children and teachers are victims of a massive $$$$ racket, where publishing companies and those who profit the most from them, have continued to push a theory of how we learn to read that has been debunked for decades by cognitive science research. And Emily tells the story is the most gripping and compelling way possible. Just riveting.

Incredibly grateful for all of the hard work that Emily Hanford has put into this incredibly important topic. Having been ‘sold the story’ myself, it is great to see this type of reporting.
