No One Knows Anything
They have promoted this as Serial-type True Crime investigative reporting, but make no mistake this is another pretentious, CBC snooze-fest. There is NO investigation or reporting in this very boring podcast. There is no case. Four episodes in, and there is no evidence any crime was committed at all. Nearly every interview is cut off after thirty seconds by moody music, because they have absolutely nothing to say. The promo’s made it seem like the host was some ace detective, who would solve the case, but he doesn’t seem to even be aware of how to start an actual missing persons investigation in the slightest. He just comes off as an obtuse college boy going back to his home town to try and mingle with small towners as some sociological venture. Don’t waste your time. Its garbage.

so well told, well researched i can see it unfolding in my head. Just perfect! The story itself is so sad though :(

I'm familiar with the place and some of the people who lived this and searched for Adrien all those years ago. I feel this series does very well to tap into the feel of that time, place and story.Read full review »

This is refreshingly real investigative journalism. David Ridgen gets it right with the story, the mystery, the people. Bravo!
