Baby boomers
Like Gyles, my husband and I were born in 1948, although we were both born in October, so we were delivered free of charge, care of the newly formed NHS. We love the show and have got our 3 sons listening to it too. Well done Susie and Gyles. I won’t add an emoji, apparently my sons think it’s hilarious that I always have to add one! Oh alright, just one 👏🏻

Lovely podcast. Needs Gyles to reign his ego in a bit. Still well worth a listen

Love listing to this podcast as the hosts are always charming and there is such an awful lot to learn each time. Besides hearing about the origins of words, it is fascinating to learn of the times and life occurring around that origin as well.

This is such a lovely podcast for language lovers! It’s easy and interesting to follow even for non-native speakers (though some references are chiefly British) and I look forward to receiving new episodes every week. I wish you two the best from Istanbul!
