“Great family tension - Mom and junior drive the funny dialogue.
Mike jr and Jenny have great tension. Jake feels it and hates being in the middle. Jenny against everyone (but Mom) is real tension no one wants to admit because it’s family and all resort to passive aggressive jibes. Same with Syd to a lesser degree. Jake is dry funny. Syd smarter than anyone gives her credit. Mom’s breakdown about having nothing to show for all those swim and football practices was very funny.
Mike senior let me down saying he does not regard a private club’s rules as anything but below him. Above the rules is not the working class DT image he rolls out most times. Private clubs have a culture and tradition. You don’t violate team rules, or locker room etiquette, but it is okay to tell an old gentleman to pack sand? Tuck your untuckit and show respect in their house where you were a guest. Not very Golic-like. Usually standing up for the little guy.
