“I’m a Leighton Flowers fan! Calvinism is often considered (and even criticized by some lay-non-Calvinists who consider it) to be and intellectual approach to Scripture. I have always found this strange. Why would a system that involves explicit (Calvinists who maintain libertarian freedom & Determinism) or implicit (the ones who affirm determinism/compatibilism placing God as the source of evil) contradictions be considered the “intellectual position? No doubt there are many great Calvinist scholars and philosophers, but I’ve always found this assertion strange. Prof. Flowers does a masterful job articulating the philosophical, biblical and theological difficulties the view presents.”
