We’re sounding off on Jaylen Brown reaching 10,000 career points and Boston’s bench, led by Payton Pritchard, taking care of business in the fourth quarter against Portland’s starters. Brown finished with 26 points to lead the Celtics in a 124-107 win over Portland, and for the second straight game, Joe Mazzulla handed the reins to his bench crew to handle the fourth quarter. This time they not only maintained Boston’s lead against the other team’s starters, but they expanded it. This is two nights after they nearly gave away a 19-point lead against the Sacramento Kings, so as we discuss, Mazzulla’s coaching decisions are clearly leading to improved results.
