Not well researched
I am listening to the lularoe episode - I love antimlm content and had to give this a listen. But I am disappointed that the hosts got something so wrong right off the bat. In the episode they said that a person had to pay a $5k fee to join lularoe but from my understanding in the documentary lularich and other content I’ve seen it’s that you buy a package of clothes to “start your business” and the packages start at $5k. They even try to persuade you to buy the next level up to the $10k package to start! But this basic fact seems misrepresented in this episode to mean that it costs $5k just to join as a fee. This is basic basic fact checking and it makes me think that they didn’t even watch the lularich documentary even though they mention it at the top of the episode. I also had an issue with the episode they did on the Bachelor franchise. From listening I get the impression that they don’t watch the show like at all - and the argument for if the show is an actual cult? ehh… If you are interested in the manipulation by producers and “game” aspect of the show a much better podcast is Game of Roses. Overall I think this podcast can be *entertaining* but can miss the mark.

Great concept but extremely low quality content. Every story seems like a lowbrow wiki search of the organization in question. Very uninteresting and unfunny, every episode seems so surface level that a quick google would bring you the same conclusions. I guess they really thought they were...Read full review »
