“I was tipped off to this podcast on Reddit, and I'm so glad that I was! In the world of actual play podcasts there are clear winners, obvious fails, and some pretty good tries scattered in-between. Sounds Like Crowes is a clear winner for a plethora of reasons. Namely, it's story, RPG system, and audio. I won't give anything away, but I will say that I enjoy delving into the lives of the characters.
This story follows five brothers who come together in the wake of a tragedy, and it's been fun seeing their personalities play out as strange and weird circumstances (and sometimes unfortunate die rolls) come about.
The Deadlands system and its western/horror genre is a treat to hear played because it differs from a lot of the regular DnD type settings that are out there. It's been cool learning about it through listening.
The audio quality is excellent! There are so many good podcasts out there that lose listeners because the audio is sub par, but you can tell that these guys put a lot of their time and attention into making sure that their show is produced well.
All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed Sounds Like Crowes and look forward to hearing more!”
