Description
Recorded on September 22, 2024, at a prairie remnant off Cold Springs Road, this is the sound of a field of native grasses and late blooming wildflowers at golden hour. Listeners will hear the chirp of crickets, the buzz of bees visiting the Swamp marigold and distant birdcalls from summer birds (Indigo Bunting and Common Yellowthroat) as well as some fall migrating birds (Northern Waterthrush and Swainson's Thrush) at the edge of the adjacent woods.
