“I love their in-depth insights into the latest films! As a film junkie myself, I find it refreshing to get the nuanced and insightful views of Matt and Hunter on a weekly basis. Furthermore, their reviews of 1917 and Parasite are quite illuminating in that they touch on many insights other movie-review podcasts simply fail to see or address. They have become my go-to reviewers to see if a movie is worth watching. The SPOILER FREE episodes are particularly useful in this regard. I enjoy listening to the followup portions and continuing the discussion on their Discord channel. It is simply remarkable the community of fellow film junkies they have created there. I would highly recommend visiting to witness vigorous debates on the latest star-studded masterpiece. It is even rumored that frequent Discord participants like ‘Magi’ have written reviews for the New York Times using many of the key insights from the podcast and community discussion.
Simply a must listen-to for any serious movie goer! As many of you know, I have awarded 5 stars to fewer movies than I can count on my right-hand, for I reserve the 5-star rating for the creme-de-la-creme. However, I have no reservations in awarding this podcast a full 5-star rating for going above and beyond in their movie reviews.
Some say, they plan on producing their own full length feature film at some point in the future. Although I cannot substantiate these claims, I will say any such undertaking would have my full backing!
