“The ads for this podcast that aired on all the EarWolf podcasts were so annoyingly loud, it’s like they think more energetic = better content. I find them annoying and they have very established relationships which we have to play catch up on. Also the over pronouncing if Spanish words is so loud and annoying. And they’re all just so overly loud and obnoxious. It probably makes sense in a theater sense because you have to project your voice, but in a podcast it’s just really annoying and loud to deal with the volume changes. I also just find it hard to keep up when they say a lot of Spanish phrases. They’re just very annoying sounding unfortunately.
Though I’m really trying to like hem, because I like the idea of the podcast and think it’s important to be inclusive and learn about different cultures, but they themselves are just kind of annoying. When they say interesting stuff and get into a discussion I really enjoyed learning about what they had to say. But between the informative discussions it’s like talking to a theater major who keeps breaking into an over-annunciating actor voice.”
