Spartan Lifestyle
I am very impressed with the measures Joe Desena has taken to expand Spartan Race into much more than just a race. He first began with the simple idea to rip people of the coach, to get them to challenge themselves physically and mentally. His vision has grown to include more real world applications—incorporating spartan values into everyday life. His interviews convey messages of how to achieve strength (physical, mental, and emotional), dedication, self reliance, and much more. In the podcast featuring Zack Even Esh, the message of putting in the hard work and trusting that the true rewards come longer term, not from immediate gratification, is clear. I also really enjoyed the podcast in collaboration with Barbell Shrugged—another one of my favorite sources of fitness advice that almost always translates seamlessly into real world applications. I don’t think I have ever encountered a tale as inspiring as that of Tony “the fridge.” Great work Joe, keep it up!

Following the progress of elites such as Matt...Read full review »

Joe and fellow Spartan staff don't preach motivation and do something different, they live it. The example...Read full review »
