Lack of Empathy
Given that failure is an integral part of the overall human condition, I would have appreciated the story being told from a more humanistic perspective versus this satirical and irreverent point of view. I feel like there are nuggets of wisdom being tossed aside to make this podcast entertaining. While listening, I became increasingly nervous about the character flaws of the individials playing out on such a grand and public scale. We have a lot to learn from “successful people”. But we have even more to learn from “failures”. How does the saying go, “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived.” And from a more wholistic perspective, “...do not be afraid of failure, it is a part of your road to success.” Lastly, I kept hearing a tone of historical arrogance throughout the episode. Just seems like low hanging fruit.

Humorous and well-researched 30 minute episodes. Lauren Ober is easy to listen to. Strongly recommended for folks who want something light, mildly educational and non-political.
