Finally it bursts through the "Safety First" sign -- we see what you did there, Jan de Bont -- crashes onto the ground, and flips on its side, which fortunately yanks the standee pole from its mooring and releases Annie from captivity. The subway car grinds to a halt, doing an impressive job of staying in its lane. It comes to rest in front of an indignant city tour guide.
