“Hannah Miller did a great job in presenting one of the largest ever con job. I found her podcast compelling explaining how an immature frat boy and his well to do pals managed to pull off this scam.
Sam was / is a “game player” (weird for someone who’s 30 y/o) and thought FTX was simply another game . Using the guise of “doing well for humanity & changing the world” & his ridiculous costume of cargo pants, tee shirts and sandals / he played the part with finesse & fooled and deeply hurt a lot of people.
One of the most fascinating stories I’ve heard (lots of similarities to Bernie Madoff & Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos). He’s your basic con man playing the role of a savant & stealing people’s money while soaking in the adoration of his followers.”
