“I recently discovered the Spirituality Hungry podcast and, over the past weeks, I’ve listened to about 40 episodes during long car journeys.
Each episode is interesting, inspiring and informative, and explores a different topic, (e.g. parenting, relationships, happiness, stress, etc), through a spiritual lens.
M&M are incredibly knowledgeable, each bringing their own unique perspective and ideas, while referencing academic literature and Kabbalistic wisdom, and detailing personal anecdotes which are moving/amusing, often both.
The informal conversational format works so well, and M&M perfectly complement each other as they discuss and debate topics with passion, love, and humour, managing to keep the atmosphere light while also covering some deep subject matter.
Spiritually Hungry is inclusive and accessible to people of all backgrounds/faiths - no prior knowledge of religion or spirituality is needed and M&M aren’t judgemental or preachy. Personally, as someone who began studying Kabbalah in the last year, I find it very helpful in reinforcing some of the key principles and illustrating how they can be applied in various areas of life. I’ve also really enjoyed “getting to know” M&M - they seem like genuinely lovely people.
To anyone interested in spirituality, who desires to grow spiritually, or is curious about how spiritually could positively impact their life: I highly recommend listening to Spiritually Hungry. I’m sure you will find it interesting and entertaining and confident that you’ll take some inspiration and wisdom from it.
To M&M: Thank you for Spiritually Hungry and for all the work you do to share the wisdom of Kabbalah and to enable the revelation of more light. I am excited to learn and grow and I’m grateful to you both for providing the opportunity. I look forward to listening to many more episodes of Spiritually Hungry.
P.S. I love your jokes Michael! Also, your recurring example of slapping someone when explaining a spiritual concept always makes me laugh!”
