Extra: Nicola Scott, the Australian Comic Book Artist working on Wonder Woman's origin story; her career and what she thinks of the new film
Description
Lucky and Grimm (Gab and Dan) are joined by special guest Nicola Scott this week. She's an Australian Comic Book Artist, in the American comic book industry, who works exclusively for DC Comics. She's worked there for the last decade. For the past year she’s been working on re-telling Wonder Woman’s origin story. The last time this was done was in 1986.
The Split Screen duo ask her what she thought of the new Wonder Woman film. She’s seen it six times already. Nicola went to the LA premiere and is glad that the numerous movie versions of Wonder Woman in the past didn’t go ahead, because she loves this one; it was done right. The comic book artist also talks about the difference between Marvel and DC characters.
When asked if the movie will change the way comics will be drawn, her short answer is, no. They worked separately from the film. The costume has changed slightly, to be closer to the film, which Nicola likes.
