Description
The NHL is the first of the paused big North American team sports to put forth a return-to-play plan. It has outlined four phases for resuming team activities, the playoffs and the draft lottery, with Phase 1 being the current stoppage and adhering to physical-distancing guidelines.
Brian Burke spent four decades in the NHL as a player agent and team and league executive, and is now an analyst for Sportsnet. He joins Richard and Donnovan for a wide-ranging discussion around what stands out to him about the plan, including his concerns with it, how he would tackle the situation if still in team management, hub cities, issues with the Canadian border, the financial impact on the league and players, and much more.
