From Clinical to Collegiate Sports Nutrition! Samantha Partida talks all about her transition from clinical to sports nutrition, her SNIP experience, how to avoid burnout, and how to stand out as a student in this field! Samantha Partida joined the Texas Performance Nutrition staff in 2020. Prior to her time at Texas, she worked as a sports dietitian in the Gatorade Sports Nutrition Immersion Program fellowship at North Carolina State University. After that, she transitioned into a full-time position at NCSU where she worked with football, women’s basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, softball, rifle. Partida earned a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and completed her dietetic internship through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics in 2013 at the University of Texas. She worked as a clinical dietitian for people with disabilities after college before realizing her passion for sports nutrition. She returned to school to obtain a Master of Science degree in exercise and nutrition science from Lipscomb University where she studied nutrition intervention in active middle school and high school students. Partida is a registered and licensed dietitian in Texas and is a certified specialist in sports dietetics. Did you hear?
