“Spro and Lee have come up with a unicorn- which is to say they’ve somehow created a totally unique and original formula for content, on a medium that’s completely saturated with garbage, about another medium that, also, is saturated with everything from garbage to masterpieces. You might be thinking, “There can’t possibly be anything new to offer to Hollywood and podcasts,” and you would be wrong, Jessica. Spro and Lee found the formula, and they execute like true pros. What results is a show that engages the listener, and guides us through their fan-dom, nay- their STAN-dom of all things cinema.
I don’t even like movies. At best I’m a transient watcher of whatever is placed in front of me and seems interesting enough to kill a couple of hours. But Spro and Lee make me WANT to watch Apocalypse Now. And Social Network. And CBGB. Because I WANT to love these movies as much as they do.”

“Intelligent and sometimes silly look at some of Oscar history’s biggest boners. Hosts are knowledgeable, prepared, and even occasionally funny. Apparently they’re old high school friends. Anyway, they do their homework and put on a good show. Best episodes are often the ones with guests, though.”
