Not so alone
I came to the podcast just when I needed it. An actor friend shared it on Instagram. I finally felt that I was not so alone listening to this podcast. I loved acting, it was my life’s work and passion which slowly became complicated by the lack of power actors have in any interaction in their working lives. The subtle bullying, coercions, the mental health struggles that Sean expresses in his story, were things I could relate to but on a smaller scale. This industry can be toxic. But this is the beginning of a bigger broader conversation. How do we continue to let it happen? I nodded furiously in agreement, I laughed out loud, I shouted at my phone, I cried at this podcast. If you are an actor or anyone interested in bullying in the workplace. The bright lights often blind.
