“Love where you are now.” That is a tall order. I am not a theater person, but I do know some of the people. I was struck by the diversity of the experiences in the first three podcasts: demographics, humor, life experiences and points of view. LaChanze’s self-determination, Jason’s gratitude and humor, and Keala’s emotions, which are sometimes a little sad, often startling, but always deep and edifying. The hosts are fun and smart and the listener is in great hands. The music is original and fun- especially when you learn that that Stephanie and Marylee sing it themselves. They are industry insiders who are trusted and obviously liked by the interviewees, and so the outcomes are spontaneous, authentic and entertaining. Their web page says their goal is for us to “See the world through the lenses of these artists and activists, and love where you are now.” It was an auspicious first day.
