Description
In this episode of Standing Post, we talk to Steven Abel, a Protective Armored Specialist in our Special Services Division. Steven has a unique job that is critical to our protective mission – he is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Secret Service vehicles, primarily the Presidential limo, which is commonly referred to as “The Beast.” His role is so critical to what we do that it doesn’t end in the garage, he travels with the limo and drives a vehicle in the motorcade in case anything breaks down. We talk about his path to the agency, what it means to work on The Beast, some of the perks of the job and his car collection. Are you interested in being a Protective Armored Specialist? If you have the right automotive certifications, we’d love to hear from you.
