“But I will for Outpost. If you listen to the first couple episodes and hem and haw about the voice acting, stick with it. It’s a great ride, it has the vibe that Trek purests love, reminiscent of TNG or DS9, but doesn’t fall back on technobabble too much. They’re able to sprinkle in just enough tongue in cheek sci-fi/current references to keep you paying attention. Modern Trek fans will enjoy the action, that they do pretty well. They have very strong character development, good hooks, good dialogue (a weak point for many fan podcasts), good sound design, and they have me coming back for more every episode. I’m lucky to have started listening in 2020, with almost a decade of catching up to do, I don’t know what I’ll do when I finally catch up. I don’t write reviews, but I wrote this one just for the hope they’ll keep making these in a timely manner. Great job Gnomes, keep up the great work!”
