Outstanding look at a fantastic franchise
Star Wars Minute is just wrapping up an epic, three-year project: to examine the Star Wars films one minute at a time. While the podcast is funny, thanks in no small part to the two amazing hosts, Pete and Alex, and their amazing choice of guest commentators (Asterios Kokkinos is a hilarious stand-out), it’s also a wealth of Star Wars trivia and information. Surprisingly, the material never wears thin. This is one of the few podcasts that are on my “must-listen” list: I won’t skip a single episode, because there’s always new information (and jokes!) My favorite part is the respect the team pays to the source material. Sure, there’s some fun to be had, but it never devolves into “let’s talk about how stupid and silly this is” over and over. Pete has referred on more than one occasion to “the spirit” or “the DNA of Star Wars,” which is that thing that appeals to the person in us who saw the film(s) at some point and experienced that magical moment where we went “WOW.” They focus on the WOW, on the things that made us all want to visit a galaxy far, far away. This podcast is like a guided tour back to those corners of our imagination with two guys who really love the source material. You can’t ask for more than that in a Star Wars podcast.

This podcast is surprisingly approachable regardless of your intimacy with the source material. It is not only hilarious, but also informative and insightful. It is well worth listening to!

Thanks for doing the episode about "The Force Awakens" teaser trailer. I felt like something was missing in the world without your opinion! Now everything is ok again.Read full review »
