“How can I let Alex Blumberg go out of my ears? I have to follow him to his next vision but based on the first episode I think it’s going to be a highly anxiety-provoking show. I’m not even sure I agree with the premise that there’s not enough long-form good content out there (but I do agree with the weekly thing—some of the new public radio-y stuff just isn’t coming fast enough (yes, I’m looking at you Hillary and Roman)). But I don’t want Alex to stop making the radio he does so I hope he can get the financial backing he needs. As a parent with a 2 and 6 year old, I’m worried about you guys. I hope public school is a possibility for your kids because once they are off to school, life gets much easier in terms of taking career risks… Best of luck, Alex!”
