Michigan’s House of Representatives has flipped from Democratic to Republican control. The state Senate, which was not up for reelection, still has a Democrat majority. And Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, is still governor. All this means we’re heading into an interesting era of divided government. We talked to State Rep. Bill G. Schuette, a young state House representative from Midland, about his party's wins and their priorities for Lansing.
