Very real
Very real perspective of what it entails to migrate to the States ... its ability to put focus on how emotionally challenging it can be for everyone involved makes it sad, makes it real... the more you listen to it ... the more you notice its about hope, aspiration and love for the pursuit for happiness. Depressingly from the stories, more often than not it leads to the opposite direction. At the same time it also offers hope by showcasing there are people who want to make it better. Relatively Local is my fav. Nicely done.

More reviews of Status - Immigration & People
Matt Horton explores complicated relationships intertwined with the American immigration process to help us zoom out of our own perspectives and see just how these painstaking yet life-giving experiences contribute to and perhaps even define what it means to be American.

Such a great show, content is engaging and it doesn’t hurt that Matt has a nice radio voice.

I only just listened to this, but it is so moving to hear people tell their stories. This is a very well-produced show too; well edited, and it's always nice to hear someone making excellent use of Breakmaster Cylinder music too. :)Read full review »
