Federal Reserve Primer
What is the basic and original reason for the creation of the Federal Reserve system?
Were those reason(s)valid at the time of its creation and how have they been skewed?
How did the additional mandate of working toward full employment skew the original mandate of stable money? (Was it instituted to give the Fed and the politicians political cover for excessive spending?)
What would your suggestion be to replace or correct the federal reserve system?
This podcast should be directed toward laymen who are not trained in economics but have basic common sense. (Me.) I would like to be able to give an overview to people who are in a similar station to me, so we would be able to discuss the Fed and give political and practical suggestions for it’s future direction.
