Not up to the old SI standard
Back when the magazine had true writers in the mold of Frank Deford and others you had true journalism and an expectation of a story well told. You don’t get that here and the podcast (and the current state of the magazine) are not worthy of the mantle of “Sports Illustrated”. There are some interesting moments but, as has been repeated in other reviews, stand on hearsay, innuendo and salacious gossip. The sycophants around Steve’s mom have either an axe to grind or money to make. I’ll listen until the end just to see where it goes but at this point am sad that I tuned in in the first place.
