Short on facts, long on speculation
I stopped after listening to the reporter say the police recorded McNair’s BAC at .015, then a friend said Steve had a high alcohol tolerance. That’s deliberately dumping a fact in favor of speculation. Since the majority of the podcast seems to do much of the same, I’ll pass. The truly disgraceful part involves the so-called private investigator. He’s little more than a publicity vampire, sucking whatever he can out of Lucille McNair for credibility’s sake. The fact he’s no longer a police officer appears to left him embittered. I laughed at the description of the PI’s military career and career “choices.” As a veteran who worked in one of those career fields, it strikes me as mostly made-up. Maybe speaking with a former supervisor would have shed some light on his performance.

Just a bad job all the way around. I’ve listened to every episode since I was a big McNair fan but this reporting is pitiful. Lots of speculation, no facts, and not put together well. Pass!

In between thin conspiracy theories from untrustworthy witnesses, the host reads Wikipedia-like entries to make it seem like he did research. There isn’t a single attempt to be neutral, and the host buries facts that could make his “witnesses” look bad.

When a woman talks, the guy literally mansplains and says “what she just said was...” The way the narrator and other men talk about women is really unsettling.
