Excellent Overview of Stoic Theory & Practice
Chris Fisher weaves in all the core elements that define traditional stoicism and its practice, drawing from the quotes and arguments of Seneca, Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, and other ancient sources. He highlights important aspects often overlooked by the popular modern authors, emphasizing the importance of the Stoic worldview in a “providential cosmos” and of maintaining a sense of gratitude for all the events in life that befall us and help shape our character. He periodically invites prominent authors on the show to highlight recent books that add value to the discussion on Stoicism, its concepts and its practice. The show is an excellent approach to Stoicism, very well done.
