“I listened to once episode and really struggled listening to the voice. I was engaged in the story, so I persisted. I’ve listened to a few more episodes, and again, really liking the context and content, but the voice is somehow manipulated, contrived, altered in some way. I took the advice of other reviewers and sped it up to 1.5, and it’s sooooo much better. It’s a bit fast that way but much easier to tolerate. It also shows that the narrator is purposefully altering her voice, but why??? It’s not for the better. I probably would five-star this show if the voice is normalized.”
