A piece of ugly Canadian history
We all - new Canadians, several generation Canadians, immigrants and children of immigrants- need to stand witness to this brutal legacy. No one had bee n held accountable for the generational trauma this has caused. It beehives us all to learn all we can and talk to our children about this as it’s not taught in schools! Thank you Connie for your amazing coverage of this. It was hard to hear but we all need to sit up and listen

Good (well, not good, but necessary) to hear indigenous POVs about the intergenerational impact of these horrific institutions, which probably cannot be overstated. Required listening for everyone, really.
